ABOUT

I am a positive birth advocate, author, and mom of two from Calgary, Alberta (Treaty 7). I now live in Northern British Columbia (Lheidli T'enneh First Nation). My first home birth was a surprise! We had planned to go to a birth center, but the labour moved quickly, and our baby boy was unexpectedly born on my bed. However, it was such a good experience that I chose to have the second one at home. Although birth is unpredictable, so much is within our power to make it a positive and empowering experience. I'm so excited to share with you how beautiful birth and postpartum can be!
